weekend at Cockatoo Island

Really enjoyed the weekend at Cockatoo Island with both my sons. Good to know that there is free car parking next to the Woolwich Ferry Wharf so easy to transport camping gear onto Sydney Ferries (F3) bound for Cockatoo Island.

Embers Restaurant

Thanks Everyone that came. We had a great dinner and loved the food. This new restaurant in the Campbelltown catholic club gets a thumbs up from me. I think I might have to repeat this one again, need to try everything on their menu 🙂

Convict Footprints on the Old Great North Road

This was  truly unique and fun Event. Would highly recommend, Adults and kids enjoyed it and couldn’t of picked a better day. Check Facebook group if you want to see some of the photos from the day.

Woolshed dance

The Woolshed Dinner Dance was a great night. We all got our country dancing boots on and tore up the floor. The food was great!

Seven mile beach family camp

Camping in the Easter holidays was a hoot. 9 adults and 14 kids joined us at seven Mile beach Holiday park. We had fun with a day trip to Berry, walks along the beach, and a trip to the blow hole and Kiama. We had a few wet moments but the holiday park had great facilities that we utilised when it rained.

Hawkesbury show

Wow! What a great day we all had. The sun was shining and the storm held off till late evening. The kids enjoyed pony rides, water rides and the show bags a great hit, as always. Lovely day had by all. Thank you for coming.

Family – New Members BBQ

6 potential new adult members, 8 members plus 17 children in total attended the new members BBQ on Sunday at Plough and harrow east park. A yummy sausage sizzle , face painting and games made it a great day

Family- Apple picking and lunch at Blue Box cafe Kurrajong.

We had an awesome day fruit picking at Pine Crest orchard Bilpin. Our hall included Gala apples, Nashi pears, golden delicious apples. Pears, plums and raspberries. Afterwards to traveled back to Karrujong village and had a lovely lunch at the Blue Box cafe a Dr Who themed cafe.                                                   .

Dural Country Club

Thank Lesia for hosting a lovely evening at the Dual Country Club. We started with dinner in the Grill before moving into the lounge to listen and dance to the music of the wonderful Joanna. It was a delightful evening with new friendships made.

Adult- Dinner at Korean BBQ

This was a unique dinning experience, cooking various meats and veggies on the inbuilt table BBQ. Great food and great company.

Australia Day

We had 4 Adults and 10 kids join SWC for the Australia day celebrations. Even though it was bit overcast and sprinkling we had a great time, and would like to thanks everyone that came and made it a special afternoon. Adam

Single with Children goes Star Gazing

We had two members with children and some friends attend the Star Gazing function at Macquarie University. It was a cold evening so everyone was rugged up, but the viewing through the telescopes was terrific, we saw the moon, Saturn, Mars, the Jewel Box and a close up of a star consolation within the Milky Way.

Single parents dine out at Bella Vista

We had a lovely evening at Thai Terrace, Bella Vista. The food was delightful and the company good fun. We were a small intimate group of 5 ladies and 2 gents. Afterwards some of us moved on to The a Bella Vista hotel to check it out. Thanks for coming everyone –  everyone had a great night. Lesia

Single Parents Dinner at Castle Hill RSL

A very enjoyable dinner at Castle Hill RSL was attended by 5 members. There was some good conversation and dancing with great company. Thank you for sharing the first function I hosted. – Carol

Restaurant dinner at Epping

A great dinner was enjoyed by the 12 members who attended the Tom Yum Thai restaurant at Epping. The food was yummy and plentiful. After diner a few decided to kick on at the Epping hotel which had music and dancing. Another good meetup – thanks John for hosting this event.

SWC at the Sydney Seafood School

The evening at the Sydney Seafood School was outstanding, one member plus a potential new member, joined another team and together whipped up a meal that we were all surprised at. On the menu for the evening were Crab Cakes with Horseradish Dressing, Smoked Trout & Risoni Salad, and finally Stir-fried Prawns, Asparagus & Sugar Snap Peas with Garlic, Ginger and Green onions.  The evening commenced with a demonstration by our very entertaining chef for the evening, and then we were set free to replicate the dishes at our workstations. Meet up at The Ranch Hotel

15 adults met up at The Ranch Hotel on a cold winter’s Friday evening to take advantage of the Happy Hour, savor a nice meal and enjoy some warm and friendly conversation before moving onto the disco. Some even entered the dance competition. A very social evening which was a great way to meet up & start the weekend. Thanks everyone for coming. Peter
